A program titled ‘The Astonishing Tamil Science of 9.81 m/sec²’ was held on November 25, 2025, organized by the Department of Science and Humanities at CARE College of Engineering, Tiruchirappalli. Mr. Shanmugam Selvakumar, a retired employee of Larsen & Toubro, Chennai, delivered a lecture at this event. He spoke to the students about the construction of the Thanjavur Big Temple and its scientific aspects. The event was presided over by Mr. G. Venkatesan, Head of the Department of Science and Humanities. The program was coordinated by Dr. S. Manikandan, Professor of the Tamil Department. Students and faculty members participated in large numbers and benefited from the event.
