
The CARE NDLI Club, in collaboration with the Department of Science and Humanities, successfully organized a Book Review competition titled “Voices from Books: Students Share What They Read” on 19 February 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Central Library. The programme witnessed active and enthusiastic participation from nearly 120 students.
Ms. Amba Bharati S. Desai, Communication Trainer, CARE College of Engineering, Tiruchirappalli, graciously served as the judge for the event. She highlighted that the primary objectives of the competition were to:
- Cultivate reading habits among students
- Enhance critical thinking and analytical skills
- Improve communication and presentation skills
- Encourage literary appreciation
During the competition, participants presented on a range of contemporary topics based on the books they had read. They demonstrated effective oral communication, presentation skills, and a sound understanding of the subject matter. Students also offered thoughtful suggestions and recommendations to fellow readers, thereby promoting a culture of informed reading and knowledge sharing. The participants presented on a variety of contemporary topics, showcasing their reading interest, orientation, and presentation abilities.

Students selected and read books available in the CARE Central Library to explore their chosen topics and delivered their presentations in their own unique styles.
