The Department of Mechanical Engineering, CARE College of Engineering, successfully organized a 3-Day Hands-on Workshop on U24MEMM07 – Drone Technologies from 01 July 2026 to 03 July 2026 at the CAD/CAM Laboratory. The workshop was conducted by Mr. S. Hari Prasadh, Assistant Professor, Head – Centre of Excellence for Drone Technology and IIC Vice President, Department of Mechanical Engineering, KSR College of Technology, Tiruchengode. The programme provided third-year and final-year Mechanical Engineering students with comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical exposure to modern drone technologies, including drone components, flight principles, assembly, calibration, and real-time applications.
Throughout the three-day workshop, participants actively engaged in hands-on training sessions that enhanced their technical skills and understanding of unmanned aerial systems. The programme encouraged innovation, problem-solving, teamwork, and industry-oriented learning while introducing students to the latest advancements in drone technology. Aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), the workshop successfully equipped students with practical competencies and inspired them to explore emerging opportunities in the fields of drone technology, automation, and aerospace engineering.
