The Alumni Interaction Programme was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, CARE College of Engineering, Trichy, on 06.07.2026 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:35 p.m. at S.C.R.F09. The programme was coordinated by Mr. A. Antony Luki, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, CARE College of Engineering. The session was conducted for the II Year Mechanical Engineering students with the objective of motivating them through the experiences and guidance of a successful alumnus. A total of 56 second-year Mechanical Engineering students participated in the session.
The department invited Mr. K. Gobinath, B.E., Quality Inspector, Aquasub Engineering, Coimbatore, from the 2022–2026 batch of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, CARE College of Engineering, as the resource person for the interaction. During the session, he shared his journey from being a mechanical engineering student to working in the manufacturing industry. He explained the importance of developing strong technical knowledge, practical skills, communication abilities, and maintaining discipline throughout the engineering course. He also highlighted the expectations of industries, the role of quality inspection in manufacturing, and the career opportunities available for mechanical engineering graduates. He encouraged students to continuously upgrade their skills by learning industry-relevant software, participating in technical activities, and completing their academic requirements without any arrears.
The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where students actively clarified their doubts regarding higher studies, placements, industrial work culture, and career development. The interaction was highly informative and inspiring, providing valuable insights into the practical aspects of the mechanical engineering profession. Finally, feedback was collected from the 56 participating students, and the programme ended with a vote of thanks.
