CARE Central Library organized a “Smart Learning with E-resources: Practical Training Program” for first year students on 23 September 2026 at 11 am in the Digital Library. Around 120 students actively participated in the programme.
Objective of the Program:
- To promote the effective use of e-resources for academic learning, research, and independent study.
- To provide practical knowledge of searching, accessing, and retrieving scholarly information.
- To encourage students to make effective use of OPAC, DELNET, J-Gate, NDLI, NPTEL, and other online learning platforms.
The training focused on developing students’ digital literacy and information-searching skills and familiarizing them with the electronic resources available through the Central Library. The resource person demonstrated the use of OPAC, DELNET, J-Gate, NDLI, NPTEL, Coursera, Udemy, Google Scholar, Shodhganga, and other online resources. The session included practical demonstrations on searching, accessing, retrieving, and downloading e-books, e-journals, research articles, databases, and other scholarly learning materials. Students also practiced keyword searching, advanced search techniques, database navigation, and identifying relevant academic information.
