Our Department of Computer Science and Engineering at CARE College of Engineering organized a two-day workshop titled “software testing and automation on 13&17th march 2025. This workshop aimed to equip third-year students with practical insights into software through selenium and TestNG. This workshop was led by infosys, Chennai.
Mrs.S.Sharmila team leader from INFOSYS were the resource persons for this workshop with hands on training.They provided expert guidance and hands-on training throughout the event.
The first session focused on introducing key concepts basics Of Software Development Process,Foundations Of Software Testing, This theoretical foundation laid the groundwork for the second session of practical learning.
In the second session, students engaged in hands-on training using Selenium and TestNG. They explored real-timeWith Automation Of Testing Using Selenium,Testing For Real time Applications..
Areas covered during session:
- Software Testing Introduction- foundations of software testing-various types of testing tools.
- Basics of software development-Test plan for sample application- Test case design for sample application.
- Test environment setup-automation of testing using cucumber & Automation of testing using selenium, TESTNG for real time Applications.
All sessions were conducted in a hands on training format , allowing students to execute coding in real time and observe outputs.they actively participated by asking questions and resolving doubts. Through this training students gained valuable practical experience in designing and implementing software testing for real time applications. They also explored various testing tools relevant to software testing and automation.
