organized a one-day hands-on training program titled “Office Essentials: MSWORD, MSEXCEL & FORMS” on 25th
June 2025 from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the Computer Lab. The training was specifically designed for non-teaching
staff members from various departments, with a total of 25 participants attending the program. Mrs. V. Gomathi,
AP/CSE and Mrs. R. Anne Pratheeba, AP/CSE are the resource persons for this program. The main objective of the
training was to enhance the digital competency of non-teaching staff by providing practical exposure to widely
used office tools.
The training was divided into four focused sessions. The first session covered MS Word basics
such as interface navigation, formatting techniques, and table design. The second session focused on advanced
Word features including formula fields and mail merge operations. The third session introduced participants to
essential Excel functionalities such as cell management, formatting, basic functions, and logical formulas along
with data visualization using charts and an overview of macros. The final session covered Microsoft Forms, where
participants learned to create digital forms, include various types of questions, share forms using links and QR
codes, and collect responses for export to Excel.
