A Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled “Mastering Application Development” was conducted from 30th June 2025 to 4th July 2025, between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, at Computer Lab – 1. The objective of this FDP was to provide faculty members with practical exposure and in-depth knowledge of modern web and application development using open-source technologies.
During the program, participants were introduced to HTML, which forms the foundation of web page structure and design, and Python, a versatile and widely used programming language for application development. The FDP also focused on hands-on training with key open-source tools. MySQL Workbench was used for back-end database management, while Visual Studio Code served as the primary front-end development environment. For server-side connectivity and integration, the Flask micro-framework was
introduced, allowing participants to understand how to link the front-end, back-end, and database layers effectively.
