The Department of Mechanical Engineering, CARE College of Engineering, organized an Alumni Interaction Session on 30th July 2025 for third-year Mechanical Engineering students. The session aimed to connect students with industry experiences through insights shared by a recent alumnus, helping them better understand workplace expectations and career development pathways.

Dr. D. R. Rajkumar, Head of the Department, welcomed the gathering and introduced the guest speaker. In his address, he highlighted the significance of alumni interactions in motivating students and providing real-world perspectives that complement academic learning.

Career Journey and Industry Insights
Mr. K. Kalimuthu, an alumnus from the 2021–2025 batch and currently employed as a Site Engineer at Grace Air Conditioner, Trichy, shared his personal and professional journey. He offered students a clear view of the transition from college life to the corporate environment.
Workplace Expectations and Skills
He elaborated on the essential skills expected in the industry, including the importance of technical knowledge, communication abilities, and adaptability. Emphasis was laid on the value of hands-on learning, internships, and continuous skill upgrades.

Students actively participated in the interactive session by asking questions on career opportunities, interview preparation, and how to effectively plan for internships. Mr. Kalimuthu responded with practical suggestions and real-world examples.
