Guest Lecture – “Language and Skill Set” – S and H – 26.9.2025

The Department of Science and Humanities organized an insightful guest lecture on the pivotal topic of “Language and Skill Set” on 26/09/25 between 2.00 and 3.30 P.M.She warmly welcomed the esteemed guest speaker, the faculty members, and all the students.

The keynote speaker for the session was Dr.A. Narayanan, Associate Professor and Head, Department of English ,at SRM-TRP Engineering College .He is  an expert in communication and professional development. His lecture was both engaging and highly informative, focusing on the integral connection between language proficiency and a robust skill set. Dr.A. Narayanan began by elucidating why soft skills are no longer “optional” but are essential for career advancement. He explained that while technical skills may get a candidate an interview, it is their soft skills that will secure the job and ensure long-term growth. He broke down the fundamental elements needed to build strong soft skills.
