“Ace the Interview: One-Day Intensive Interview Skills Workshop”

The Department of Mechanical Engineering of CARE College of Engineering organized a one-day intensive workshop titled “Ace the Interview: One-Day Intensive Interview Skills Workshop” on 9th October 2025 at S.CR.F10 classroom from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. The session was exclusively conducted for final year Mechanical Engineering students to enhance their interview preparedness and professional communication skills. 

The workshop was led by Mr. P. Charles, Head – Human Resource, CARE Group of Institutions, who shared valuable insights on the expectations of HR professionals during technical and personal interviews. The event aimed to help students build confidence, improve body language, refine resume presentation, and strengthen their ability to handle interview situations effectively.

In the morning session, students actively engaged in personal reflection activities on five parts of questions they have answered  , where they analyzed their own strengths, weaknesses, and career aspirations to understand how to present themselves confidently in an interview. The afternoon session focused on practical exposure, where students individually answered HR questions in a simulated interview environment. Mr. P. Charles provided constructive feedback on their performance, emphasizing clarity, confidence, attitude, and effective communication. The workshop provided students with a real-time experience of professional interviews, helping them overcome nervousness and perform with greater assurance.

 The program was coordinated by Mr. A. Antony Luki, Assistant Professor, and convened by Dr. D. R. Rajkumar, Professor and Head of the Department, both from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, CARE College of Engineering. The workshop concluded successfully, equipping the participants with essential skills and confidence to face future placement interviews.
