Women Empowerment and Sexual Harassment Redressal Cells of CARE College of Engineering organized an awareness on Kavalan Uthavi App , from 4.00 pm to 5.00 pm on, 11th of February 2026.
The Chief Guest of the day was Mr.A.Kathiravan, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Jeeyapuram Sub division, Trichy. The Chief Guest delivered an inspiring lecture on Kavalan Uthavi App, an official mobile application launched by the Tamil Nadu Police to provide immediate assistance to citizens, particularly women and the elderly, during emergencies. Nearly 200 women students were the beneficiaries of this programme who downloaded the App and learnt to send an emergency alert directly to the Tamil Nadu Police Master Control Room during distress situations such as eve-teasing, kidnapping, or physical emergencies.
