The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at CARE College of Engineering, Tiruchirappalli, through the Electronics and Communication Students Association (ECSA), organized the Inauguration of the IETE Students Forum for the academic year 2026–2027 on 21st September 2026 (Monday), from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Engineering Seminar Hall. The programme aimed to promote technical learning, innovation, leadership, teamwork, and professional development among ECE students through active participation in professional and technical activities.
The event commenced with a welcome address delivered by Kafrin K., followed by the Chief Guest Profile presented by Nickeleshwaran R. The Inaugural Address was delivered by Dr. P. Selvakumar, Head of the Department of ECE, emphasizing the importance of professional associations in enhancing students’ technical knowledge and career readiness. The Presidential Address was delivered by Ms. Jose Rathi F., QA Manager, Mastek, Trichy, who shared valuable insights and encouraged students to pursue continuous learning and professional growth.
The introduction of the IETE Office Bearers was presented by Mrs. R. Vanitha, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE. The office bearers for the academic year 2026–2027 were introduced, comprising students from the II and III years of the ECE department. The leadership team includes Dhanvanth A (President), Yuvaraj N (Vice President), Arun Mukundhan S (Secretary), Sivasri K (Joint Secretary), Nickeleshwaran R (Treasurer), and Yazhini B (Joint Treasurer).
The student committee members, Sharvalakshimi V K, Vihashni S, Sathis S, Suhana S, Priyanka P, and Manoj Kumar J, were also introduced as part of the IETE Students Forum. The newly appointed office bearers and committee members will coordinate technical activities, encourage student participation, and support the professional and academic development of ECE students.
As part of the programme, certificates were distributed to students in recognition of their achievements and participation. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Joy Briscilla J., Student Coordinator, IETE Chapter.
The inauguration marked an important milestone in strengthening the IETE Students Forum at CARE College of Engineering, fostering technical excellence, leadership, innovation, and collaborative learning among students during the academic year 2026–2027.
