Research and Development Cell

• Our institution vision “Transform Lives through Education and Research” and our organization are committed to foster research and development in a conducive learning environment.
• Our Institution has taken concerted efforts for Research and Development. Research & Development Cell was constituted to strengthen research activities, enhance industry interaction and to foster industry relevant research.
• Research & Development Cell coordinators have created and represented for their departments. Also they coordinate all the research activities of the college.
• The Research Coordinator Dr.B.Gobalakrishnan, AP/Mechanical Engineering conducts a periodical meeting with the coordinators from all the departments.
• Department is ensure that the paper publications in reputed journals and in international conference proceedings.
• Continuous follow up is made to submit proposals for getting Research Grants, Travel Grants, Modernization of Labs and conducting Seminars or Conferences etc.

Major goals of R&D Cell include the following:

• Establish Research Centre for all the departments for guiding and creating the new research students of the institutions through Anna University, Chennai.
• Establishment of new Research lab & Infrastructure.
• Encourage Consultancy and Sponsored, & Collaborative Research to promote inter/ intra department research.

 Roles and Responsibilities:

• Facilitate growth of research activity in the Faculty, including developing mechanisms and targets to achieve.
• Develop and maintain, coordinate and plan the development of research infrastructure across the Faculty.
• Develop and coordinate strategies for maximizing the Faculty success in gaining external research funding.
• Develop strategies to foster research collaborations within the Faculty, across Faculty and Institutes, industries and with International Connect.
• Formulate faculty incentive provisions with respect to article publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Promote/ encourage faculty-student research leading to obtain patents.
• Strive for high research planning activities and promote research culture across the Institute.
