Industry Integrated Course on U24EC333 – Electronic Devices and Circuits

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), CARE College of Engineering, organized a 3-day Industry Integrated Course on U24EC333 – Electronic Devices and Circuits from 3 to 5 August 2026 for II Year ECE students. The programme was conducted from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the E-Library, providing students with an intensive industry-oriented learning experience.

Mr. T. Lokesh, Technical Engineer, EnthuTech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, served as the resource person and provided valuable industry perspectives on the practical application of semiconductor devices and electronic circuits. The sessions were designed to bridge classroom concepts with real-world engineering practices and contemporary industry requirements.

The course covered the V–I characteristics and applications of semiconductor devices, along with practical concepts related to rectifiers, filters, and transistor biasing circuits. Students gained hands-on exposure to BJT, MOSFET, and amplifier circuits, enabling them to understand circuit operation and apply device characteristics in practical electronic systems.

The sessions further introduced students to oscillators, voltage regulators, power supplies, and PCB design. Industry-oriented case studies and real-world applications provided opportunities for students to analyse practical circuit requirements, identify suitable design approaches, and strengthen their problem-solving abilities.

Outcome of the Programme

The Industry Integrated Course enhanced students’ practical understanding of semiconductor devices and electronic circuits by connecting theoretical concepts with industry-oriented applications. Students developed greater familiarity with the analysis, design, and application of electronic circuits, particularly in areas such as amplification, power supplies, regulation, oscillation, and PCB development.

The hands-on learning activities and industry case studies strengthened students’ technical problem-solving, circuit analysis, design thinking, and practical implementation skills. The direct interaction with an industry professional also provided students with valuable insights into industry practices, application-oriented learning, and the skills expected of electronics engineers.

Overall, the programme contributed to improving students’ practical knowledge, employability skills, and industry readiness, while encouraging them to apply electronic device and circuit concepts to real-world engineering challenges. The initiative also supported Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 – Quality Education and SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure through experiential, industry-linked technical education.
