Guest Lecture on Data Integrity and Security in RFID Technology

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at CARE College of Engineering organized a Guest Lecture for III Year ECE students on 16 March 2026 at 9:30 AM in the Arts Seminar Hall as part of the course CEC349 – RFID System Design and Testing. The session focused on the topic “Data Integrity and Security in RFID Technology.”

The guest speaker, Ms.Gayathri.N, Accountable Manager at Jet Aerospace Drone HubPalakkad delivered an insightful lecture on the importance of maintaining data integrity, authentication, and security mechanisms in RFID systems. The session highlighted various security challenges in RFID communication, including data interception, cloning of RFID tags, and unauthorized access, along with industry practices to mitigate these risks.The guest lecture contributed to the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:

  • SDG 4- The session enhanced students’ knowledge through interaction with an industry expert and promoted experiential learning.
  • SDG9- The lecture highlighted innovative RFID technologies and their role in modern industrial and technological infrastructure.
