The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, CARE College of Engineering, organized a hands-on workshop for II Year IV Semester students under the course U24CS453 – Web Technologies on 11, 12, and 17 February 2026. The session was conducted by Ms. Vijitha Chandrasekar. The workshop focused on providing practical exposure to front-end and back-end development.
On the first day, students were introduced to the fundamentals of web technologies, including the roles of front-end and back-end in web applications. The second day included hands-on sessions where students learned HTML, CSS, and basic backend connectivity using Java, along with tools like Spring Tool Suite and Eclipse IDE. Students were also grouped into teams and assigned web-based projects.
On the final day, teams presented their projects, explaining their objectives, implementation, and features. The projects were evaluated based on understanding, implementation, teamwork, and presentation skills.
The workshop enhanced students’ technical knowledge, practical skills, and teamwork abilities. It was well-received by both students and faculty, successfully bridging the gap between theory and practical application.
