The Eco CARE Club of CARE College of Engineering organized a World Ozone Day Awareness Programme and Green Transport Walkathon on 16 September 2026 at Phase II, CARE College of Engineering.
The programme included awareness talks by Dr. D. R. Rajkumar, Overall Club Coordinator; Dr. D. Kumar, Department of English; and Dr. S. Hosimin, Eco CARE Coordinator, on ozone layer protection, environmental conservation, and sustainable practices.
First-Year CSE students of Sections C and D, along with Eco CARE Club members, actively participated in a nearly 2-kilometre Green Transport Walkathon around the campus.
The programme highlighted the importance of reducing pollution, minimizing unnecessary motor vehicle use, and promoting eco-friendly transportation.
The event concluded successfully with the message: “Walk Green, Breathe Clean and Protect the Ozone Layer.”
